May 4th-8th is Teacher Appreciation Week, and we have started the celebration early. #205 teachers were able to present a check to the Galesburg FISH Food Pantry. District #205 made the donation of $5 per #205 staff member, totaling $3,145. Through this gift that will serve so many in need, our intention is to convey our appreciation for you all!

Governor Pritzker has just informed all Illinois school districts that schools will be closed Tuesday, March 17, 2020 and through Monday, March 30, 2020. The district is developing a remote learning plan and will be notifying parents shortly with details.

The 2019-2020 School year calendar has two built in emergency days during the month of March, March 12 & March 13. Dr. Asplund has decided to change the emergency days to non student attendance days. To clarify, there will be no student attendance on March 12 & March 13.
Gale School has been the lucky recipients of MANY hats, gloves, scarves, and even a few coats. With the cold temperatures later this week, students are encouraged to take an item if they do not have one (or may have misplaced it!). Our goal is to get all items to students!
