Principal for the Day at Steele School

At our Family Bingo Night, Daija was intent on winning the silent auction item, Principal for the Day, and she did.  When Daija arrived at Steele School on Feb. 23rd, she was given her own ID badge and her very own walkie talkie.  Mrs. Coate had her and a member of Student Council deliver the morning announcements over the intercom.  After that was finished, they went over the schedule for the day.  Mrs. Coate did explain that most days, she can't follow the schedule exactly since different issues arise that must be taken care of.  The day began with a tour of all of the classrooms so Miss Daija could be introduced to all of the students.  After that, she greeted the students as they left and returned from their field trip.  She monitored the hallways, helped students, assisted during lunches and recesses, and helped the secretaries in numerous ways.   Because of her hard work, Mrs. Coate bought her McDonalds for lunch. Daija did a wonderful job and said that she hopes to be a principal one day!  #Thisis205  #wearesteele
