Congratulations to the students that were chosen as our Star Students of the Week! These students have demonstrated our CHAMPS expectations. CHAMPS stands for the expected behaviors, routines, and systems related to Conversation, Help, Activity, Movement, Participation, and Success.
I am nominating Jerraelynn for many reasons. She does a great job of being quiet in the hallway. She is always focused on her homework. She actively listens and participates in class.
Jayda was especially encouraging to a classmate that was having a difficult time this week. She wrote her a positive note and was very empathetic. I am so proud of Jayda for showing this kindness.
Bentley has started off the year as a leader. He comes in every day and starts putting everyone's chairs down without being told. He is respectful by always raising his hand to participate in class discussions. He has caught onto routines and following expectations right away and is a model student for others to look up to. He works very hard on his work and takes a lot of pride in his finished products. He never gives up or says it's too hard. He perseveres through any task that I give him. He is also friendly and helpful to all other students in the classroom. He is a great addition to first grade!
Walker comes to school ready to learn every day. He has a positive attitude and is always ready and willing to participate. Walker follows our CHAMPS expectations throughout his entire day. He is a model student in our hallway line, in group work, during class discussions, and during independent work. He has worked hard at our weekly goals in class by showing kindness to others, raising his hand, having a growth mindset (I can do hard things), and encouraging others. Walker is a Steele Star! Keep shining bright!
Allison gives everything her best effort. She is friendly to others in class and always willing to lend a helping hand. Allison also participates in class often and makes sure to follow CHAMPS expectations wherever she goes
Anthony always gives his best effort. He pays attention in class and is always willing to help a classmate. He is kind to others and knows when to ask for help.
Sophia comes to school everyday ready to learn! She sets a wonderful example of Steele Star expectations.

Olivia is such a hard worker and is always ready to help! She has a positive light about her that radiates wherever she goes!
Austin is a Steele Superstar! Austin comes to school everyday ready to learn. He is engaged in our lessons and activities. Keep it up Superstar Austin!
Penelope is such a kind girl who tries her best at everything she does in our classroom. I am proud of her. Keep being a star, Penelope!
Lucevia is a STAR! She listens and follows directions in the classroom and throughout the school. She helps others when they need it. She is off to a GREAT start in 2nd grade!
Jasper has had a great start to kindergarten! He arrives each morning smiling and ready to learn. He works hard, participates, and is a great friend to peers. Earlier in the week, I noticed him walking towards a peer that was crying on the playground. He asked him what was wrong, if he needed help, and invited him to play with him. I am so proud of him for being a great friend!
Talia displays all of the characteristics of a leader and Steele Star! She is kind to peers and staff, helpful, participates with high level thinking, and works hard on every task. I am so proud of her!
Coen is a Steele Superstar every single day! He works hard, follows expectations, perseveres when things are hard, and is kind to his friends & teachers. I look forward to Coen being a leader all year!
Serenity is a model student both in and out of the classroom. She knows the expectations for all parts of the school day and school building. She leads by example and I can always count on her to be doing the right thing. Serenity is a Super Super Super SuperStar!!!
Hazel is such a hard worker and always shows her classmates a good example with her behavior. She is off to a great start in kindergarten!

Colton worked very hard on his Diagnostic this week. He took his time and showed his work in math. He followed the expectations and made good choices. He also got along well with everyone. Keep up the great work, Colton!
