The Steele Student Council organized a canned food drive from Monday, November 27th through Friday, December 1st. Each day had a different theme for specific food items.
- Monday = Proteins
- Tuesday = Vegetables
- Wednesday = Grains
- Thursday = Fruit
- Friday = Soups
This food drive benefits those in need in our local community. Every item donated will go directly to our local food bank, Fish Food Pantry. Of course, we also had a little competition between homerooms to see who could bring in the most items.
1st Place: Mrs. Kleine's Classroom (257 canned goods!) They win a HOT COCOA PARTY!
2nd Place: Miss Voyles' Classroom (205 canned goods!)
3rd Place: Mr Stecher's Classroom (196 canned goods!)
We have brought in a GRAND TOTAL of 1,538 canned goods so far! Our goal was to make it to 1,000! We did it! Thank you for all of your support and generous donations.
